內容：
大旱飢荒唐伯文（任劍輝）借惡霸錢，無法清還，
結果賣掉屋田只僅夠償還一部份，惡霸限日付清，
不然追殺，唐求親戚朋友相借均遭拒絕。性好巨富
（靚次伯）收留唐伯文安身暫處，唐與其妻（羅艷
卿）各自巡生。一日，新任高官（林家聲）到來拜
訪巨富，見到唐伯文，原來新官正是其妹夫，相見
下歡喜萬分，經妹夫推獻，聖上來旨唐伯文中舉營
部士郎，此後一家團聚。
