內容：
夢仙與玉仙情同姐妹, 願共侍一夫. 國舅歐雲光看上夢, 但夢早配彥麟, 兩人婚後玉來函相告雲誣夢父通敵, 已被斬首. 麟上京赴考, 住玉家, 玉提兩女侍一夫之議, 麟本不允, 但雲又看中玉, 玉父遂催促兩人成親. 雲被麟兩次奪愛, 懷恨在心, 設計把麟害死. 彥麟報夢, 夢往尋夫骨, 豈料婆婆亦傷子而死. 夢無錢, 唯有賣子葬姑.

夢把一信交予兒子桂芳, 囑他轉交玉. 雲對夢死心不息, 夢不肯就範, 雲圖燒死她洩憤, 幸有仙姑到來將她打救.

 十年後芳得遇玉, 玉勸芳與自己兒子桂顯勤學, 他日報仇. 芳終於與顯分別高中文武狀元, 被派平亂, 從番王身上搜出西宮與雲賣國證據, 兩人給斬首示眾, 夢冤仇得報.
