"Practical Chinese", also know as "The Effective Way of Learning Reading, Writing, and Speaking Chinese", is a ten book series from beginner level to the advanced level and is especially designed for native English speakers.  The books currently have been used nationwide as textbooks or for self-study purposes, and can be found in some libraries in the USA and Canada.

The book series are available in both simplified and Traditional characters.  Pinyin is used through out the books.  The contents of the books are as follows:

For Beginners I......Provides various activities to enforce the verbal and reading abilities.
For Beginners II......Provides various activities to enforce the verbal and reading abilities.

Level 2......................Self introduction

These books are being used not only in Chinese schools as textbooks but also have been used by many members of FCC (Families with Children from China) organization.
